James R. McAuley, MD
James R. McAuley, MD, is a board certified otolaryngologist and neurotologist practicing with ENT Physicians of North Mississippi since 1987. Dr. McAuley specializes in the treatment of adults, as well as children, with ear, nose and throat disorders, with a special expertise in diseases of the ear.Dr. McAuley is a 1982 graduate of Tupelo High School. He obtained a Bachelor’s degree in biology from the University of Mississippi in 1986. He earned his medical degree from the University of Mississippi in 1990. Dr. McAuley completed an internship in general surgery in 1991 at the University of Mississippi Medical Center, where he also completed his otolaryngology residency in 1995. He was an assistant professor at the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson in 1996. Dr. McAuley then obtained his neurotology fellowship at the California Ear Institute at Stanford in 1997. Dr. McAuley is a member of the Mississippi State Medical Association, Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society, and a fellow in the American Academy of Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery and board certified in Neurotology. He currently serves on the board of Sanctuary Hospice House. Dr. McAuley is an active member of Gloster Street Church of Christ. His interests include sports and hunting. He and his wife, Kim, have 3 children, Michelle, James Rieves, and John.
Robert Yarber, MD
Robert Yarber, MD is a board certified otolaryngologist practicing with ENT Physicians since July, 2000. He specializes in the treatment of adults and children with ear, nose and throat disorders, with a special interest in head and neck surgery and sinus problems. Dr. Yarber is a graduate of Belmont High School and Northeast Mississippi Community College. He obtained a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy from the University of Mississippi in 1989. He earned his medical degree from the University of Tennessee in 1994, where he also completed his residency. Dr. Yarber is a member of the Mississippi Society of Otolaryngology, and a fellow in the American Academy of Otolaryngology –Head and Neck Surgery.Dr. Yarber is an active member of First Baptist Church in Tupelo where he is a member of the sanctuary choir. He also sings in the gospel quartet, Fourgiven. Interests include woodworking, hunting, fishing and singing. Dr. Yarber and his wife, Debbie, have 3 children, Evan, Wesley, and Marissa.
Ryan C. Simmons, MD
Ryan C. Simmons, MD, is board certified in Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery. He joined ENT Physicians’ of North Mississippi in July 2004 treating adult and pediatric patients with ear, nose, and throat disorders.Dr. Simmons obtained a B.S. in biology from Mississippi College where he received the Perry Academic Award and graduated Summa Cum Laude. He obtained his medical degree from the University of Mississippi School of Medicine in 1999, graduating Magna Cum Laude. He completed his training at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences and Arkansas Children’s Hospital in Little Rock, Arkansas in 2004 where he achieved the Outstanding Surgical Intern award. He is a fellow in the American Academy of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery. Dr. Simmons is married, with two sons. He is an active member and Deacon of Harrisburg Baptist Church in Tupelo. He enjoys recreational sports with his sons, running, and hiking/backpacking.
J. Montgomery Berry, MD
Dr. J. Montgomery Berry is board certified in Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery and Otolaryngology Allergy. He began his practice in Northeast Mississippi upon joining ENT Physicians of North Mississippi in 1998. He specializes in the treatment of adult and pediatric patients with ear, nose, and throat disorders and allergy problems, with a special interest in laryngeal and voice disorders.Dr. Berry is a graduate of Millsaps College where he received a BS in chemistry and was a four-year letterman and captain of the basketball team. He obtained his medical degree from the University of Mississippi School of Medicine where he was awarded the Mississippi-Louisiana Award for Excellence in Undergraduate Otolaryngology. He also served as National Student Trustee for the Christian Medical Dental Society. Dr. Berry completed his residency at Vanderbilt University where he was winner of the resident research competition for his work in laryngeal re-animation. He is a charter member of the Christian Society of Otolaryngology and is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons.He is married to Sara Williams Berry of Corinth and they have seven children. He is a founding member of The Orchard Church in Tupelo where he continues to serve as an elder on the Jeremiah Council. He is an avid sportsman and spends most of his free time with his family.
Matthew S. Stevens, MD
Dr. Matthew Stevens is a board certified physician in Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery. He joined ENT Physicians in 2014 and treats a wide variety of ear, nose, and throat illnesses in both the adult and pediatric populations. Dr. Stevens has special interest in thyroid and parathyroid surgery.Dr. Stevens completed his undergraduate degree at Mississippi College in 2005 graduating Summa Cum Laude and receiving the prestigious Perry Academic Award. He then went on to obtain his medical degree at the University of Mississippi School of Medicine in 2009 where he was selected to be a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society. He completed his residency at the University of Texas in San Antonio where he received the Resident Research Award for his work in voice and airway disorders.Dr. Stevens is a member of the American Board of Otolaryngology, Mississippi Society of Otolaryngology, and the Christian Society of Otolaryngology. Dr. Stevens is a past president of the Mississippi Society of Otolaryngology. He is happily married with three sons and one daughter. He enjoys hunting, fishing, a variety of sports, and most of all spending time with his family. Dr. Stevens and his family are active members of The Orchard Church in Tupelo.
Kurt L. Nelson, MD
Dr. Kurt L. Nelson is a board-certified physician in Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery. He practices comprehensive otolaryngology, treating a wide variety of ear, nose, and throat disorders in both the adult and pediatric population with a special interest in thyroid and parathyroid disorders. Dr. Nelson completed his undergraduate degree at the University of Mississippi in 2009 graduating Summa Cum Laude and was a member of Phi Kappa Phi honor society. He received the Fletcher F. Veazey award for Excellence in Secondary Science Education as well as the Miller-Pittman Pre-Medical Scholarship. He went on to obtain his medical degree at the University of Mississippi School of Medicine in 2013, graduating Cum Laude. He completed his residency at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in 2018 where he received the Excellence in Otolaryngology Research Award for his work in post-operative management of thyroid and parathyroid surgery and has several publications in textbooks and peer-reviewed journals. Dr. Nelson is also a member of the American Academy of Otolaryngology/Head and Neck Surgery and past president of the Mississippi Society of Otolaryngology. He is happily married to Emily Nelson, a native of Tupelo. They have 4 children. He enjoys golf, sports in general, and most of all spending time with his family. Dr. Nelson and his family are active parishioners of St. James Catholic Church in Tupelo.

Rhonda Sage, M.S., CCC-A
Rhonda Sage, has specialized in the diagnosis and non-medical treatment of hearing disorders in both the pediatric and geriatric populations at ENT Physicians of North MS since 1989. She holds a Master’s degree in Audiology from the University of Mississippi. Rhonda possesses expertise in hearing aid technology and knowledge of the latest hearing aid fitting techniques. Her extensive experience in evaluating candidacy for and the programming of cochlear implants has allowed many patients who previously struggled with severe to profound hearing loss to experience improved communication and quality of life.
Stephanie Warren, M.S., CCC-A
Stephenie Warren, M.S., CCC-A following her long time desire to work with the hearing impaired, received her Master’s degree in Audiology from the University of Mississippi in 1994. With over 25 years of experience, she specializes in audiological and vestibular assessment of patients of all ages. Her extensive knowledge in the diagnosis and evaluation of hearing loss allows her to determine each patient’s unique listening needs and recommend the appropriate amplification. With the exciting and changing advances in today’s hearing aid technology, she believes no one should be denied the joy and luxury of communication.
Jennifer Mize, AU.D., CCC-A
Jennifer Mize, Au.D., CCC-A joined ENT Physicians of North MS in 2000 after receiving her Master’s degree in Audiology from the University of Mississippi. In 2012 she received her doctorate degree from the University of Florida. Jennifer has extensive knowledge and experience in audiometric and vestibular testing. She constantly pursues educational opportunities that will increase her professional knowledge. This training keeps Jennifer abreast of the ever changing technology in hearing aids. She can provide comprehensive hearing care and a better quality of life for her patients with hearing loss.
Denise Boater, M.S., CCC-A
Denise Boatner, M.S., CCC-A has worked as an audiologist since 1999 when she received her Master’s degree in Audiology from the University of Mississippi. She has experience in testing and treatment of persons with developmental disabilities from her prior position at Arlington Developmental Center in Arlington, Tennessee. She has provided hearing testing, vestibular and balance testing, tinnitus counseling and fitting of digital hearing aids at ENT Physicians of North MS since 2002. In addition, she specializes in evaluating candidacy for bone-anchored hearing aids (BAHA).

Kacie Hollimon FNP
Kacie is a lifelong resident of Lee County. Kacie earned an associate degree in nursing from Northeast Mississippi Community College in 2004. While working as an RN, she earned a bachelor's degree in nursing from the University of North Alabama in 2010. She completed her master's degree in nursing and her nurse practitioner training through Walden University in 2019. With a dedication to her professional development she completed a NMMC advanced practice fellowship in 2020. Kacie has previously worked in NMMC's Infection Control/Performance Improvement Department andNMMC Surgical Services at both the main hospital and Women's Hospital. After completion of her fellowship she began in January, 2021 as a Nurse Practitioner for NMMC Inpatient Diabetes Treatment Center. When not with our ENT family she enjoys spending time outdoors with her husband, Luke and her children, Cameron and Drew.
Contesta Corey FNP
Contesta earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the Mississippi University for Women in Columbus in 2010 and recently completed her Doctor of Nursing Practice and Family Nurse Practitioner training at Union Univerity in Jackson, Tennessee, where she served as a class representative. Although new to our office, Contesta is certainly not a new name to the patients she has served in the North Mississippi area for over a decade. She previously worked for NMMC Medical Intensive Care unit and NMMC Surgery and has experience in Geriatrics and management. She is a member of several professional organizations, including the Mississippi and American Nurses Associations, Sigma Theta Tau, the American Association of Student Nurse Practitioners, and DeltaSigma Theta Sorority, Inc. When not with our ENT family she enjoys serving her community, traveling and spending time with her husband, Harry and children, Annarose and Azariah.
Daniel Chase FNP
Daniel is a graduate of Kossuth High School, Daniel began his journey in healthcare at Northeast where he obtained an Associate Degree in Nursing in 2012. He obtained a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the Mississippi University for Women in 2015. His commitment to advancing his skills led the completion of his Master's degree in nursing and his nurse practitioner training through University of North Alabama in August 2023. For over a decade, Daniel served in the Tupelo Emergency Department, thus bringing valuable experience to our team. Outside the clinic, he shares a fulfilling life with his wife, Angileah, whom he married in August 2017. Their joy expanded with the arrival of Olivia James Chase in June 2023.Daniel and his family call Booneville, MS, home, residing on a small farm where he enjoys hunting and cherishing moments with his loved ones.
